超音波自体はX線と違い、人体に影響はございません。そのため、産婦人科では胎児の成長の観察にも使用されております。また、繰り返しの検査、長時間の検査でも影響はございません。 空気を多く内包している、肺、腸、胃などの臓器や骨などは、超音波を通し難いので、検査することは出来ません。また、子宮がん、前立腺がんは、細胞診や血液検査での診断になりますので、超音波での検査はできません。 男性は５分前後、女性は７分前後で終了します。 腹部内に空気が多く存在すると画像がよく見えない場合がありますので、食事前に検査していただくことをおすすめします。また、膀胱の検査では、尿がたまっている方が観察しやすいので、検査前の排尿はお控えください。
